Become a key part of the University of Winnipeg’s Physics Department by teaching Physical Computing this Fall. Use your expertise in Arduino to guide students through projects.
Applications are being accepted for the Contract Academic Staff position for course PHYS-, running from September 8, 2026, to December 23, 2026. The ideal candidate will hold an MSc in Physics and have experience with microcontroller platforms to foster student engagement in project-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the 24 scheduled classes for Physical Computing
• Suggest and create a hardware kit for student projects
• Facilitate an interactive and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with the Physics Department for course success
• Provide guidance and support to all enrolled students
Requirements:
• MSc in Physics or equivalent education
• Extensive knowledge of Arduino platforms
• Experience designing project-oriented courses
• Effective communication and teaching skills
• Dedication to equity and diversity in student learning
