Join Marymound as an Independent Living Transition Facilitator, guiding youth towards self-reliance. Train them in vital life skills like budgeting and healthy living practices.
As a facilitator, you will empower youth by teaching essential life skills and providing hands-on support to navigate their journey to independence. Responsibilities include mentoring youth in chores, grocery shopping, and enhancing self-worth through positive relationships. You'll also work closely with community resources to maximize their opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Role model budgeting and life skills for youth
• Teach healthy meal preparation and grocery shopping
• Create learning opportunities aligned with case goals
• Support youths' access to community resources
• Document interactions and progress clearly
Requirements:
• Experience with youth and vulnerable populations
• Certificate in Child & Youth Care preferred
• NVCI and ASIST certified, as required
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
