Support diverse learners as an Educational Assistant 1 at Pembina Trails School Division starting September 8, 2026. Engage with students, adapt programming, and foster inclusion daily.
The Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) role, under supervision, emphasizes collaborative support for students with diverse learning needs. You will assist in classroom engagement, provide academic help, and adapt teaching strategies as required. Your work will enhance the educational experience while aligning with Pembina Trails' commitment to equity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with learning and behavioral challenges
• Provide academic aid in classroom and small groups
• Deliver specialized programming under teacher guidance
• Document and support student-specific progress
• Supervise students during recess and lunch
Requirements:
• Commitment to inclusive educational practices
• Flexibility in adapting to individual student needs
• Experience working with special needs students preferred
• Strong communication skills in educational settings
• Support students' emotional and physical requirements
