Position: CUPE 3909 Sessional Instructor in Visual Literacy
Become the Sessional Instructor for Visual Literacy EVDS 1602 at the University of Manitoba. This role requires effective teaching, feedback, and office hours from August to December 2026.

As a Sessional Instructor under CUPE 3909, you will prepare instructional materials and assess students' work in this 3 credit hour course. You will be expected to provide constructive feedback and maintain regular office hours to support student learning. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in visual literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare instructional and testing materials for the course

• Teach, instruct, and assess student performance

• Grade exams and provide constructive feedback

• Maintain regular office hours for student support

• Indicate preferred section if multiple sections are available

Requirements:

• Master's degree, Ph.D., or Ph.D. candidate preferred

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Specialization in visual literacy or related field

• Demonstrated competence in post-secondary teaching

• Empathetic approach to student needs
