Nurse Practitioner; Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
Overview
The College of Nursing at the University of Manitoba invites applications for full‑time Nurse Practitioner positions at the assistant, associate or full‑professor rank. Positions are probationary (tenure‑track) or tenured, commencing July
12026 or on a date mutually agreed upon. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
All successful candidates will:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses using onsite or distance modalities.
- Supervise and educate graduate students.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing program of funded scholarly or research activity.
- Provide leadership in service to the College, University and professional/academic communities, including participation on committees and activities.
Successful candidates will focus on teaching, supervision of graduate students and the development of an ongoing program of funded research and scholarship.
Qualifications- Doctoral preparation with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a Doctor of Nursing preferred.
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and a RN(NP) designation is required.
- Evidence of research and scholarship, including funded research and peer‑reviewed publications, and effective teaching experience.
Successful candidates will conduct independent research/scholarly activity, mentor graduate students and faculty, and demonstrate a well‑developed program of scholarship.
Qualifications- Doctoral preparation with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a Doctor of Nursing preferred.
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and a RN(NP) designation is required.
- Established scholarly or research record in health care including peer‑reviewed publications, demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research grants and establish research/scholarly networks.
- Track record of excellence in teaching, course development and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a relevant clinical background.
Successful candidates will conduct independent research/scholarly activity, mentor graduate students and faculty, and maintain an internationally recognized program of scholarship.
Qualifications- Doctoral preparation with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a Doctor of Nursing preferred.
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and a RN(NP) designation is required.
- Established internationally recognized scholarly or research record in health care, including peer‑reviewed publications, demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research grants and establish research/scholarly networks.
- Track record of excellence in teaching, course development and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a relevant clinical background.
