Position: Instructor for Introductory Cree Course
Take on a role as an Instructor for the Introductory Cree 2 course at the University of Manitoba, starting January 2027. Engage students through effective teaching and feedback in this part-time role.

The Faculty of Arts is seeking a qualified Instructor to teach INDG 1260 A02, where you will prepare teaching materials and provide instruction through lectures and lab sessions. This appointment requires a Master's degree, Ph.D., or candidacy, paired with strong communication skills and a background in Cree studies. The instructor is also expected to offer constructive feedback and maintain office hours for student support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare instructional and testing materials for the course

• Instruct and assess student performance effectively

• Mark exams and provide feedback on assignments

• Maintain regular office hours for student inquiries

• Participate in field training and develop safety plans if required

Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field

• Excellent English communication skills required

• Background in Cree or related area needed

• Proven experience in post-secondary teaching

• Empathetic approach to students' needs essential
