Become a Spanish instructor at the University of Calgary for the Fall 2026 term. Bring your language expertise to classroom delivery and guide students through Beginners' Spanish I.
The School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures is seeking qualified Spanish sessional instructors for the upcoming semester. This position requires a Ph.D. or doctoral candidacy, along with native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is essential to effectively deliver course content.
Key Responsibilities- Teach SPAN 201 - Beginners' Spanish I
- Engage students in an in-person classroom setting
- Develop course materials and assessments
- Collaborate with academic staff regarding course content
- Foster a supportive learning setting for students
- Ph.D. or doctoral candidacy completed by term start
- Native proficiency in Spanish and English
- Prior university-level teaching experience
- Full CV and supporting documents required
- Teaching evaluations preferred but not mandatory
