Shape the future of education at Pear Tree School as a full-time STEM Specialist Teacher starting August 2026. Empower Grades 6-9 students with engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences.
At Pear Tree School, you'll be responsible for delivering integrated science and mathematics lessons through the BC Mathematics curriculum. As a homeroom teacher, your role is essential in fostering inquiry-based learning and a supportive classroom culture, making education a dynamic journey for your students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver STEM instruction using the Pear Tree Method
• Teach BC Mathematics within theme-based lessons
• Plan and execute hands-on labs and investigations
• Support design and problem-solving tasks for students
• Build robust classroom culture and routines
Requirements:
• M.Ed. or equivalent educational degree
• Valid BC Teacher Certification or eligibility
• Minimum three years of middle years teaching experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience in STEM instruction and inquiry-based learning
