The Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre is hiring for Math Background Tutorials aimed at bridging the high school to university math gap. Candidates must possess a mathematics degree and prior TA experience in first-year calculus. Availability for August training sessions is essential to successfully fulfill the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate daily math tutorial sessions for students
• Engage students with math problem-solving challenges
• Attend all mandatory training and tutorial sessions
• Evaluate quizzes and offer constructive feedback
• Conduct interactive review sessions throughout the program
Requirements:
• Completed math degree or major/minor
• Prior TA experience at the University of Toronto
• Commitment to attending all required sessions
• Previous tutoring experience in the MBT program preferred
• Passion for fostering diversity in education
