Position: 5.75hr Educational Assistant Role AEMS
Location: Arborg

Join the Evergreen School Division as a Temporary Educational Assistant at Arborg Early Middle School, working 5.75 hours daily from September 8, 2026. Provide vital support for students' academic and behavioral needs.

This role is ideal for those passionate about education and student support. Working hours are from 9am to 3:15pm, which includes a 30-minute lunch. It is required to have at least a Grade 12 education or an equivalent qualification. Training in behavior management is beneficial, along with demonstrable technology skills. You will play a critical role in enhancing individual student programs and facilitating supportive learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with student academic and behavioral support

• Provide help in speech-language communication activities

• Supervise students during daily routines

• Contribute to library duties like acquisitions and cataloguing

• Support students' safety and personal care needs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Preferred:
Para Educator Certificate

• Relevant experience in an educational setting

• Coursework in behavior management desired

• Competence in technology and computer usage
