Take on a meaningful seasonal role as a Museum Programmer with the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. Deliver engaging theme-based educational programs aimed at children and adults this summer.
As a Museum Programmer, you will work closely with the Museum Curator to coordinate five weeks of educational camps. This position offers invaluable experience in museum operations, including artifact handling, marketing initiatives, and community events. Ideal for those eager to grow their skills while creating impactful visitor experiences in a friendly atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of children’s summer museum camps
- Assist in the care and maintenance of museum artifacts
- Develop marketing materials for summer programs
- Assist visitors with inquiries about exhibits
- Process gift shop sales through Point Of Sale
- Relevant post-secondary education in Museum Studies
- Experience working in a museum or education setting
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Availability to work weekends and evenings
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence is an asset
