Become a Teaching Assistant for CHYS 3P15 at Brock University, assisting in quantitative research methods.
Your role focuses on direct student interaction, course administration, and marking responsibilities.
As a Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator, you will engage with students and support Instructor Ann Farrell. Key tasks include preparing seminar material, grading assignments, and holding office hours. You must also maintain communication with the Instructor during the designated hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct scheduled contact time with students
• Prepare seminar material and attend lectures
• Mark assignments and proctor examinations
• Hold office hours for student consultation
• Handle various course administration tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 3rd year in CHYS BA or CHYS MA/PhD program
• Completion of CHYS 3P15 or equivalent with at least 80%
• Knowledge of SPSS for Windows required
• Strong communication skills to explain material
• Ability to prioritize work effectively
