Position: Instructor for Plant Disease Control Course
Teach PLNT 4270 at the University of Manitoba as a Sessional Instructor. Engage and guide students in Plant Disease Control from September 1 to December 23, 2026.

The Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences has an opening for a sessional instructor for the Plant Disease Control course. Candidates should ideally hold a Master’s or Ph.D., with strong communication abilities and a solid background in the subject. Responsibilities include instruction, grading, and providing student feedback to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create instructional and testing materials for students

• Conduct classes effectively, focusing on student learning

• Assess and grade assignments and exams

• Offer consistent feedback during office hours

• Engage with students to support their academic needs

Requirements:

• Master’s degree, Ph.D., or be a Ph.D. candidate preferred

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Relevant background in plant disease management

• Demonstrated effectiveness in post-secondary teaching

• Prior teaching experience in related fields is advantageous
