Position: Instructor for WOMN 1500 at University of Manitoba
Join the University of Manitoba as a Sessional Instructor for WOMN 1500 starting September 1, 2026. Deliver engaging coursework in Women's and Gender Studies and inspire future leaders.

Instructing the Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies course, you will complement your expertise with empathy and strong communication skills. The sessional role requires developing instructional materials, grading assignments, and providing supportive feedback to students in a diverse academic environment. Successful candidates will have relevant degrees and teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and refine course materials for WOMN 1500

• Teach and assess students effectively

• Oversee grading of exams and assignments

• Offer constructive feedback to enhance student performance

• Hold regular office hours for inquiries

Requirements:

• Master's or Ph.D. or candidacy preferred

• Strong communication in English, both oral and written

• Proven background in related subject areas

• Demonstrated teaching skills in post-secondary education

• Empathy for students’ instructional needs
