Join Northern Lights College as a Nursing Instructor in Fort St. John, BC. This position focuses on clinical education for practical nursing students with an emphasis on patient care.
The college is seeking a full time temporary instructor for the Practical Nursing Program. You will teach APN 136, where students integrate theoretical knowledge into practice while working with clients in residential care. Key topics include medication management, health assessments, and organizational skills in nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Teach APN 136:
Consolidated Practice Experience - Supervise students in clinical nursing settings
- Ensure effective medication administration and wound care
- Implement comprehensive health assessments
- Promote a learning environment based on inquiry
- Accredited Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent
- Active nursing license in BC with no conditions
- Three to five years of Canadian nursing experience
- Completed Indigenous cultural safety coursework
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
