Sessional Instructor WOMN

Position: Sessional Instructor for WOMN 1600
Become a Sessional Instructor for WOMN 1600 at the University of Manitoba where you can inspire students in Women's and Gender Studies. This temporary role runs from January 1 to April 30, 2027.

The successful candidate will engage in teaching and evaluating students in the Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies course. Candidates must possess strong teaching competence and hold, or be pursuing, a Master’s or Ph.D. Your key responsibilities will range from instructional preparation to grading, ensuring a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop instructional materials and assessment tools

• Teach and facilitate student learning experiences

• Evaluate and grade student work effectively

• Offer constructive feedback to enhance learning

• Maintain consistent office hours to assist students

Requirements:

• Master's degree, Ph.D., or Ph.D. candidate preferred

• Strong communication skills in English

• Specialization in Women's and Gender Studies

• Proven experience teaching at the post-secondary level

• Empathetic to student concerns and needs
