Teach Cree language and culture as a lecturer for the Introductory Cree 1 course at the University of Manitoba. Engage in instructing, testing, and grading while supporting student development.
The Faculty of Arts invites applications for the role of instructor for INDG 1250 A02. Successful candidates will possess a Master’s degree, Ph.D., or candidacy, along with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include preparing materials and offering regular feedback during office hours, creating an enriching learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design instructional and testing materials for the course
• Conduct engaging lectures and assessments
• Provide thorough grading and feedback for student assignments
• Hold office hours to aid student inquiries
• Participate in field training and safety planning as required
Requirements:
• Master’s degree, Ph.D. or candidacy preferred
• Excellent English communication skills, oral and written
• Background in the appropriate subject area
• Proven competence in post-secondary teaching
• Demonstrated empathy for student concerns
Contribute to student success in the Cree language at the University of Manitoba.
