The Department of Political Science is hiring a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Political Science course. You will be responsible for preparing handouts, conducting tutorials, and grading assignments as well as exams. This part-time position requires a commitment of 0 to 5.5 hours per week, with a total of 78 hours from September 7 to December 18, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend meetings for course planning and coordination

• Prepare and present instructional materials to students

• Grade student assignments and exams for tutorials

• Provide student consultations as needed

• Participate in occasional approved substitutions for teaching staff

Requirements:

• Relevant academic background in Political Science

• Empathetic approach to student concerns

• Effective communication skills in English

• Full-time status as a University of Manitoba student

• Submission of recent student transcript for application
