Skate Instructor at Bill Copeland Sports Centre

Deliver engaging skating lessons at Bill Copeland Sports Centre, serving patrons of all ages in a fun learning environment. As a contract Skate Instructor, you'll inspire and motivate students while assessing their skills.

The Arena Services Program Team needs enthusiastic Skate Instructors for its upcoming fall session.

Your role involves planning lessons, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining relationships with participants. Strong skating skills and previous experience with children in recreation or sports are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Motivate students in a positive skating learning atmosphere

• Assess participants' skating abilities to write progress cards

• Plan enjoyable skating lessons for diverse age groups

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members

• Perform additional related tasks as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience with children in a sports setting

• Strong skating skills and knowledge of instruction techniques

• Emergency First Aid with CPR-C and AED certification required

• High Five training and coaching certifications are assets

• Police Information Check may be necessary
