Join the UBC Library team as a Public Service & Collections Maintenance Assistant in Koerner Library. Enhance student and faculty experiences by providing essential library services and support.

In this full time role, you'll be pivotal to the UBC Library's mission. Collaborating closely with staff and providing direct support to patrons, you will contribute to collections maintenance and effective public service. Your responsibilities will require supervising student workers and ensuring the smooth operation of library activities.

• Oversee operations of the Sorting and Stacks areas
• Train junior assistants and evaluate their performance
• Process circulation duties and manage library card issuances
• Collaborate on library statistics and project workflows
• Assist with library events and operational support

• High School diploma and Library Technician qualification
• Three years of relevant library experience required
• Familiarity with library policies and circulation systems
• Excellent multitasking and communication skills
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
