Join Cape Breton‑Victoria Regional Centre for Education as a Specialist in Behaviour Support Education. Make a lasting impact on student learning experiences through tailored support and intervention strategies.
In this role, you will support students grappling with complex behaviors in a culturally responsive environment. You should possess a Master’s Degree in Inclusive Education and have a minimum of five years of experience in behavior programs. Expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis and effective communication techniques is essential to foster positive educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Guide development of behavior management plans and strategies
- Directly teach and model appropriate behaviors
- Coach and collaborate with educators in behavior support practices
- Implement school-wide evidence-informed behavior supports
- Coordinate with external agencies and families for student support
- Master’s Degree in Inclusive Education or similar
- Minimum 5 years of experience with behavioral interventions
- Completion or initiation of BCBA training
- Proven collaboration and coaching skills
- Knowledge of developmental trauma's educational impacts
