Position: ASL Instructor for Manitoba Possible
Become an ASL Instructor with Manitoba Possible, delivering ASL education to diverse learners. This role promotes accessibility through in-person and virtual instruction, supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities.

As an ASL Instructor, you will provide essential American Sign Language lessons within the ASL Immersion program. Your innovative teaching will cater to various audiences, including family members of Deaf children and newcomers to Canada. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop a learner-centered curriculum and enhance the educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ASL to diverse groups in various settings

• Support individual learning goals with tailored lesson plans

• Act as a Deaf role model for identity development

• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods

• Report on student activity, attendance, and progress

Requirements:

• Culturally Deaf individual fluent in ASL

• Experience in teaching, formal or informal

• Signing Naturally certification preferred

• Understanding of in-person and virtual teaching

• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability
