Position: Sociology Instructor for Winter Term
Become a Sessional Instructor for SOC 1000 G07 at the University of Manitoba, teaching Introduction to Sociology from January to April 2027. Engage students with profound insights and support their learning journey.

This part-time instructor role requires preparing instructional materials, teaching, and grading assessments. You will maintain office hours to provide constructive feedback, ensuring students grasp course content effectively. A master's degree, excellent communication skills, and teaching experience in sociology are essential for success in this engaging educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop instructional and testing materials for SOC 1000

• Teach and assess students through exams and assignments

• Provide timely and constructive feedback post-evaluation

• Maintain regular office hours for student consultations

• Ensure a supportive and empathetic learning environment

Requirements:

• Master's degree, Ph.D., or Ph.D. candidate preferred

• Strong communication skills in English

• Background or specialization in sociology required

• Demonstrated competence in post-secondary teaching

• Previous teaching experience in related areas an asset
