Join Elev8 as a summer PHE 10 and Humanities teacher, delivering education through D2L/Brightspace. A solid grasp of senior high courses is a must!
The position at Elev8’s DESK Program offers a 0.5 FTE term commitment. Candidates will instruct a range of subjects including Food Studies 12 and Philosophy 12. To qualify, applicants must hold or be eligible for a BC Qualified Teaching Certificate by the assignment start date, ensuring they meet educational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate engaging English and Social Studies classes
- Implement effective teaching strategies in Physical Education
- Utilize the D2L/Brightspace platform for course delivery
- Evaluate and support student learning outcomes
Adjust the curriculum as needed based on class size
- Certified or eligible for BC Teaching Certification
- Experience teaching senior high humanities
- Familiarity with online education platforms
- Outstanding communication skills
