In this vital role, you will assist teachers by providing one-on-one support for students with significant needs. Your responsibilities include organizing lesson materials, facilitating small group instruction, and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Your dedication will create a nurturing environment that fosters learners' physical, emotional, and cultural growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in lesson preparation and organization of materials
• Provide individualized support in literacy and math
• Supervise students during breaks and field trips
• Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement
• Help assess and modify IEP goals as needed
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Certified Education Assistant credential preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required
• Minimum two years experience as an Education Assistant
• Familiarity with First Nations communities is advantageous
