This position requires an individual dedicated to nutritious food preparation in schools, ensuring that breakfast, lunch, and snacks meet high quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with the divisional Nutrition Program Coordinator and contribute positively to children's nutrition, maintaining accurate records and budgets for food and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily
• Set menus in collaboration with nutrition programming support
• Maintain kitchens and food storage areas per health guidelines
• Manage food ordering and inventory while tracking expenses
• Engage students to reflect their diverse cultural backgrounds
Requirements:
• Secondary education completion
• At least 1 year of experience in food preparation
• Knowledge of safe food-handling practices
• Experience working with children and youth
• Willingness to obtain a Food Handler Certificate
Support health and nutrition initiatives through proactive food programming and engage the school community effectively.
