As a Program Worker - Sign Language Interpreter, you play a vital role in fostering inclusivity within School District 71. You will deliver interpreting services during class and school activities while working closely with educators to enhance communication. Your expertise will significantly improve students' learning experiences and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret instructional materials and classroom discussions

• Support the Teacher of the Deaf in meeting student needs

• Guide peers on effective communication methods

• Gather observational data and offer staff feedback

• Execute related tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• ASL-English Interpreting diploma is essential

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum of two years interpreting experience

• Membership in WAVLI or similar organizations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
