ABOUT THE TEAM
The TRCE departmental team is responsible for developing initiatives for Red River Polytech staff and students guided by the Truth and Reconciliation 94 Calls to Action aligned with the Polytech’s Strategic priorities. Approximately 22,000 students and 2,300 staff and faculty make up the Polytech’s community that includes: 11 schools, 8 campuses with over 200 programs to choose from and 30 departments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Truth and Reconciliation and Community Engagement department within Indigenous Strategy Research and Business Development has a position available for an Educational Developer with an Indigenous Education focus. The successful applicant will collaborate with the TRCE team, and across the Polytech on a variety of initiatives guided by the Truth and Reconciliation 94 Calls to Action. Educational Developers at RRCP support program development and renewal, support faculty in their practice, develop and deliver RRCP staff and faculty workshops, and provide consultation for course‑level design to enhance learning experiences.

This position will work on strategic initiatives across the institution to support RRC’s Indigenization efforts, with a particular focus on programs, and for faculty and staff. The incumbent will help to develop and promote frameworks, processes, and strategies that preserve and protect Indigenous perspectives, values, and practices. They will initiate, support, and coordinate Indigenous participative, experiential, land‑based learning initiatives, and adapting delivery methods as required (e.g., online and blended learning).

They will provide guidance and direction to ensure that changes for Indigenous equity, diversity, and inclusion are actualized.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Masters Degree in the field of Curriculum Development, Education, Instructional Design, or a related subject. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Formal training and/or certification in Project Management is preferred.

Self‑identifies as a Canadian Indigenous person with lived experience and expertise in Indigenous knowledges, epistemologies, methodologies, histories, traditions, and/or languages

Experience delivering or facilitating workshops for adult learners and first‑generation learners

Experience in program and course design, development, delivery, and assessment

Experience with the practice of Indigenous culture, protocol, history, and knowledge systems

Experience with the pedagogies of land‑based or applied education

Experience assisting, coaching, and supporting faculty to develop, revise, and adapt curricula
