Part Time Music Band Leader Position

St. Andrew’s College seeks a part-time Instrumental Band Leader to inspire students in the Upper School Music program during the  academic year. Engage with students in Grades 9 and 10 through dynamic band direction.

This pivotal role involves leading the Symphonic Band with full rehearsals, sectionals, and small group instruction. You will integrate performance elements with music theory and composition to facilitate a rich educational experience for young musicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct rehearsals for diverse band formations

• Work collaboratively with students and faculty

• Organize concerts and school music events

• Encourage student engagement in music theory

• Aid in the overall music curriculum development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or related field

• Proficient in several band instruments

• Previous teaching experience in senior school music

• Knowledgeable in music pedagogy and ensemble techniques

• OCT certification or equivalent preferred
