Tlicho Agency Grade 4 Classroom Teacher

Tlicho Community Services Agency is hiring a Grade 4 Classroom Teacher for the  school year. Focus on fostering literacy while integrating cultural education within the classroom.

This role involves supporting 21st-century learners in an inclusive environment that champions diverse abilities. Ideal candidates will have cross-cultural teaching experience and a strong commitment to community involvement. In addition to educational strategies, your participation in cultural programming will enrich the students’ learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement literacy, numeracy, and inclusive education strategies

• Participate in culture-based programming and land activities

• Collaborate on developing Student Support Plans

• Craft lesson plans tailored to student needs

• Engage actively in school safety and cultural initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education required

• NWT Teacher Certification eligibility is mandatory

• Experience in Northern Indigenous communities preferred

• References from recent supervisors are necessary

• Flexibility and organizational skills are essential
