Support students in POLS 1502 at the University of Manitoba as a Seminar Leader. This role entails grading, organizing materials, and providing student consultations in a dynamic learning environment.
The Faculty of Arts is looking for a dedicated Seminar Leader for the Introduction to Political Science course. You will attend lectures, prepare instructional resources, and consult with students to facilitate their understanding of course content. The position requires 0 to 5.5 hours of work weekly over the course duration from September 7 to December 18, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend course orientation and planning meetings
• Develop and deliver instructional materials to students
• Mark student work for tutorials and exams
• Offer regular consultations to assist students
• Cover for teaching staff in their absence as needed
Requirements:
• Relevant academic and instructional experience
• Strong empathy towards students' educational needs
• Proficiency in English communication
• Enrollment as full-time student at the University of Manitoba
• Submission of latest transcript with application
Contribute to a vibrant educational atmosphere while gaining valuable teaching experience in Political Science.
