EAEducational Assistant

Position: EA1 Educational Assistant at Pembina Trails
Contribute to an inclusive learning environment as an EA1 Educational Assistant with Pembina Trails School Division, effective September 8, 2026. Work collaboratively to support students with diverse educational needs.

In this role, your primary responsibility is to assist students under the supervision of classroom and resource teachers. As an Educational Assistant, you will facilitate classroom activities, manage behavioral expectations, and provide tailored academic support. You will actively engage with students to foster their emotional and physical well-being in a supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing classroom expectations effectively

• Provide academic support in various group formats

• Maintain documentation of students' learning progress

• Supervise lunch and recess activities

• Support students in community-based educational programs

Requirements:

• Background in educational assistance preferred

• Flexibility to adapt to individual learning needs

• Skills in augmentative communication techniques

• Experience in supervising and assisting students’ diverse needs

• Capability to handle personal care tasks
