Calvin Christian School is accepting applications for a Humanities Teacher (0.87 FTE) at the Collegiate campus for the 2026/27 school year.

This position includes teaching Grade 7 English Language Arts, Grade 10 English Language Arts, and a Drama course for Grades 9 to 12 within a Christ‑centred learning environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping students grow as readers, writers, communicators, and creative thinkers while fostering confidence, collaboration, and meaningful expression through the arts.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with middle‑years and senior‑years students and will be able to create engaging learning experiences that support both academic growth and creativity.

• Teach English Language Arts and Drama courses at the middle years and senior years level
• Plan engaging lessons aligned with Manitoba curriculum outcomes
• Support the development of strong literacy, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
• Foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence through drama education and performance opportunities
• Assess student learning and provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Foster a respectful and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the life of the school community
• Support the faith formation of students through the integration of a Christian worldview in teaching and relationships

• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certification
• Teachable subject areas in English preferred
• Experience teaching at the senior years level is an asset
• Commitment to Christian education and alignment with the school’s foundational beliefs
• Must be eligible for Society membership and able to complete membership interview, pastoral reference, and agreement with the school’s foundational beliefs
