Homeroom Teacher at St. John Paul II

Elk Island Catholic Schools is looking for a Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher n Paul II Catholic School for a temporary full-time role from August 2026 to March 2027. Focus on core subjects along with innovative Digital Innovators classes.

This position seeks a dedicated educator committed to Catholic education. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Education and have or be eligible for an Alberta teaching certificate.

Your role will involve delivering major Grade 5 subjects and developing lesson plans that foster student engagement and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction for core Grade 5 subjects

• Lead the Digital Innovators class with creativity

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans

• Monitor and evaluate student performance

• Create an engaging classroom environment for all learners

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education degree necessary

• Alberta teaching certificate or eligibility required
