Position: Drake University Teacher Associate for Preschool
Join Drake University as a Teacher Associate, dedicated to fostering preschool children's development at the Merle Hay location. Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to create impactful learning experiences.

In this fulfilling role, you will assist in implementing and evaluating curriculum for preschool-aged children. Responsibilities include preparing meals, working directly with children, and facilitating home visits for Head Start Programs. You will be tasked with following lesson plans, adapting activities to suit individual learning, and maintaining a safe classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead Teacher with instructional activities

• Prepare healthy meals and ensure sanitation

• Document child observations and maintain confidentiality

• Keep the classroom organized and conducive to learning

• Advocate for Head Start programs and philosophy

Requirements:

• High School diploma is mandatory

• Obtain Preschool Child Development Associate credential within two years

• Reliable transportation necessary

• Ideal candidates will have Head Start experience

• Valid Iowa Driver's License preferred
