Master's Level Animation and Interactive Media Instructor

Sheridan College seeks a distinguished faculty member for the Masters of Animation, Gaming, and Immersive Experiences program. This role is targeted towards Ph.D.

-qualified experts in interdisciplinary collaboration and creative innovation.

We invite candidates with experience in curriculum design and rich student engagement, particularly those familiar with animation, games, and immersive storytelling. You’ll contribute significantly to teaching, supervisory roles for graduate projects, and curriculum innovation with an equity focus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach advanced courses in creative technologies and game design

• Supervise graduate students’ thesis and practical work projects

• Foster curriculum development emphasizing equity and diversity

• Engage in research collaborations with industry partners

• Support efforts in decolonization and inclusive learning

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in animation, film, or a related field

• Experience in effective graduate-level instruction

• Emerging applied research expertise in relevant disciplines

• Understanding of the Canadian media industry

• Strong network within academia, industry, and community
