The Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre is hiring multiple Instructional Assistants for Math Background Tutorials designed to aid students in transitioning to university math. Candidates should hold a mathematics degree and have prior TA experience in first-year calculus, with August training availability required for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily tutorial sessions for math support
• Engage students through interactive problem-solving activities
• Participate in mandatory training and tutorial sessions
• Evaluate quizzes and deliver meaningful feedback
• Lead dynamic review sessions during the program
Requirements:
• Mathematics degree or minor completed
• Prior TA experience at the University of Toronto is essential
• Mandatory attendance at all training and tutorial sessions
• Previous MBT tutoring experience is an asset
• Commitment to supporting diverse learning approaches
