Education ​/ Teaching Instructor, University Professor

Position: Vancouver Island University Instructor Role
Teach as a Sessional Instructor in the Faculty of Education at Vancouver Island University for the 2026/2027 academic year. Engage and inspire students through courses like Curriculum and Instruction.

This role calls for dedicated educators with a doctoral degree specialized in Curriculum or Education. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and teamwork capacity. You will play a vital role in teaching varying educational courses and support student achievements through mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses such as EDTE 400 and EDTE 401

• Mentor and support student learning and engagement

• Attend and contribute to departmental committee meetings

• Participate in curriculum development and its implementation

• Engage in educational research and scholarship initiatives

Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in Curriculum or Education

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in K-12 educational settings

• Understanding of Indigenous teaching methodologies

• Must be eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate
