Substitute Teacher

Position: 2026-2027 Substitute Teacher Opportunities
Join Granite School District as a Substitute Teacher for the  school year and play a key role in student education. Your focus will be on following lesson plans and fostering a positive classroom environment.

This position involves classroom instruction in the absence of regular teachers and aims to deliver effective student support. You will be responsible for maintaining classroom order, supervising students during various activities, and ensuring adherence to school policies. Flexibility is needed as you'll travel to multiple schools across the district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lesson plans and provide meaningful instruction

• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment

• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other activities

• Report any student concerns to administration

• Engage continuously with students throughout the day

Requirements:

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED

• Clear background check is necessary before starting

• Must work at least three days monthly

• Availability to travel between schools as assigned

• Capable of lifting classroom supplies up to 50 pounds
