The University of Winnipeg seeks Contract Academic Staff for the Fall semester. Teach a course on special learning needs every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
This position in the Education department starts on August 17, 2026, and runs until January 19, 2027. Successful applicants will have a Master's in Education or a related field and will manage a class of around 45 students. The role is perfectly suited for passionate educators who have expertise in working with children and youth with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach the course Working With Children and Youth With Special Learning Needs
• Prepare and manage course materials and curriculum
• Engage students through active learning and assessments
• Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with other staff
• Ensure adherence to the course schedule and remit evaluations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Education or related field
• Experience teaching adults or related educational contexts
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment
• Availability Saturday afternoons for classes
