DSBN invites applications for a Permanent Secondary Teacher position for . Focus on Senior English and promote a culture of equity and belonging in ECPP.
This role is open to current DSBN Secondary Occasional Teachers and qualified external applicants with the Ontario College of Teachers. Under the leadership of Principal Katie Seminario, candidates are encouraged to demonstrate their commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in their teaching practices. Your lived experiences can enrich the educational journey of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Senior English lessons with passion
• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom
• Participate in Mindful Minds program activities
• Address diverse learning needs among students
• Engage in professional learning opportunities
Requirements:
• Must hold a qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers
• Preferable qualifications in Special Education
• Proven commitment to equity and anti-racism efforts
• Strong ability to create a welcoming classroom
• Availability for full-time, permanent placement
