Position: Contract Instructor for Database Systems
The University of Winnipeg is seeking a Contract Academic Staff member for the Applied Computer Science department, specifically for the Applications of Database Systems course. Deliver engaging classes from September to December 2026 on Thursdays in Winnipeg.

This contract role requires expertise in Database Systems, with classes scheduled for Thursday evenings. Candidates should hold a

B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field and preferably have university teaching experience. You will manage a course with an expected enrolment of 45 students, demonstrating your knowledge and instructional skills over a series of 12 classes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Applications of Database Systems course

• Manage 12 class sessions throughout the semester

• Engage with up to 45 enrolled students per class

• Prepare course materials and assessments

• Provide academic support and feedback to students

Requirements:

B.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline

• Experience with course material in database systems

• Previous university teaching experience preferred

• Ability to develop engaging course content
