Become a Sessional Instructor at the University of Manitoba, teaching Ukrainian Culture from 1900 to the Present.
This role offers a chance to influence students' understanding from January to April.
This sessional position in the Department of German and Slavic Studies requires preparation and instruction for the course UKRN 2780. The instructor will develop testing materials and provide constructive feedback while maintaining an empathetic approach to student concerns. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design instructional materials relevant to the course
• Instruct, teach, and assess student performance
• Grade exams and provide feedback on assignments
• Hold regular office hours for student consultations
• Address diverse student needs effectively
Requirements:
• Master's degree, Ph.D. or candidate preferred
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proven teaching competence at post-secondary level
• Specialization in the subject area required
• Empathy towards student learning challenges
