Position: Contract Instructor in History
Enhance Indigenous education understanding as a Contract Instructor for the History of Indigenous Education course at the University of Winnipeg. This hybrid position runs from December 2026 to May 2027.

The Faculty of Arts invites applications for a Contract Academic Staff position in the Department of History. You will teach HIST-, focusing on the history of residential schools and Indigenous education. The role involves teaching 12 classes online every Tuesday evening, promoting engaging and informative discussions among approximately 48 students through a hybrid/synchronous learning model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures online for 12 classes

• Lead discussions focused on Indigenous education history

• Assess student performance and provide feedback

• Create a positive learning environment for all students

• Coordinate with department staff for course materials

Requirements:

• Minimum ABD in post-M.A. studies

• Strong background in Indigenous education topics

• Teaching experience in higher education
