Position: Demonstrator for Political Science Course
Join the University of Manitoba as a Demonstrator for POLS 1502, where you will prepare course materials, grade assignments, and engage with students during tutorials and seminars.

The Department of Political Science invites applications for the Demonstrator role in the Introduction to Political Science course. This position requires attendance at lectures, preparation of educational resources, and marking of student assignments. The work schedule is flexible, ranging from 0 to 5.5 hours per week, spanning from September 7 to December 18, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in course planning and staff meetings

• Prepare instructional handouts and materials for lessons

• Assess and grade student submissions and exams

• Conduct student consultations at scheduled times

• Substitute for other teaching staff when approved

Requirements:

• Completed relevant academic coursework

• Empathetic understanding of student needs

• Strong English language skills

• Must be a full-time University of Manitoba student
