Become a Sessional Instructor for KIN 4560 at the University of Manitoba starting January 2027. Focus on advanced fitness and lifestyle counselling principles while instructing students.
As part of the Faculty of Kinesiology & Recreation Management, your role will be essential in guiding students through practical and theoretical elements of fitness appraisal. A Master's degree, Ph.D. or candidate status is preferred, alongside proven teaching experience and communication skills that foster responsiveness to student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and prepare relevant course materials for KIN 4560
• Conduct lectures and assessments for student learning
• Manage grading and provide feedback for assignments
• Maintain open office hours for student consultations
• Promote an inclusive learning environment for all
Requirements:
• Master’s degree, Ph.D., or Ph.D. candidate preferred
• Strong communication skills in English essential
• Proficiency in kinesiology or related area
• Teaching experience in higher education desirable
• Understanding of student concerns in academia
