Position: Winter Term Sociology Teaching Position
The University of Manitoba invites applications for a Sessional Instructor position for SOC 1000 G07 from January 4 to April 30, 2027. Share your passion for sociology and educate students in this impactful role.

In this part-time teaching position, you will prepare course materials, instruct students, and assess their progress. Regular office hours will allow you to provide valuable feedback, thus enhancing the learning experience. A master's degree or higher in sociology, coupled with strong teaching skills and communication abilities, is necessary to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create relevant instructional materials for students

• Teach and evaluate students through various assessments

• Provide constructive feedback on assignments and exams

• Maintain scheduled office hours for student support

• Encourage engagement in sociological discussions

Requirements:

• Master’s degree, Ph.D., or Ph.D. candidate preferred

• Exemplary communication skills in English

• Relevant background in sociology required

• Demonstrable experience in higher education instruction

• Understanding and empathy for student concerns necessary

Contribute to student development and sociological literacy at the University of Manitoba.
