Join the University of Winnipeg as Contract Academic Staff for the Fall semester, teaching Applications of Database Systems. This is a great opportunity to shape students' understanding of key database concepts from September to December 2026.
In your role, you will instruct a course designed for 45 students, scheduled for Thursday evenings on the main campus. A
B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related area is required, alongside demonstrated experience with the course material. Teaching experience at the university level is beneficial to ensure effective knowledge transfer and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures for Applications of Database Systems
• Facilitate 12 evening classes for students
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
• Develop class materials and assignments
• Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Proven expertise in database systems content
• Teaching experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to engage a diverse student body
