Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director / Montessori Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to provide a high‑quality learning experience for children, develop a supportive and empowering work environment for employees, and ensure exceptional communication and relations with parents. You will have a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy, a genuine love for working with children, and a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
The Role Classroom Leadership- Implement the Montessori curriculum in a creative and engaging manner.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Guide children in their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work independently and as a team player.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Observe and assess each child's progress.
- Create and adapt materials to meet the needs of individual students.
- Encourage independence and a sense of responsibility in students.
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers regarding student progress and development.
- Organize and participate in parent/caregiver‑teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with parents/caregivers to support the child's learning at home.
- Oversee staffing and scheduling.
- Ensure quality day‑to‑day operations.
- Provide guidance on lesson planning, material usage, and classroom management.
- Collaborate with teachers to review and update curriculum materials.
- Conduct regular observations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
- Assess student and school needs and work closely with the executive team on recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Stay current with Montessori education principles and best practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Act as the school's ambassador.
- Early Childhood Educator certification ECE III
- Valid certificate in Standard Level First Aid and Level C Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Clear criminal record check, child abuse check, and vulnerable sector search.
- Knowledgeable on Best Practices Licensing Manual of Early Learning and Child Care Centers.
- Knowledgeable on Education and Early Childhood:
The Community Child Care Standards Act. - Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
- Montessori teaching credential from a recognized Montessori training program.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Previous experience as a Montessori Teacher is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
