Join the University of Manitoba as a Sessional Instructor for LARC 7310. Engage students in landscape design seminars from August to December 2026. As a Sessional Instructor, you will play a key role in teaching the Landscape Design Seminar 1 course.
Your responsibilities include preparing course materials, delivering lectures, and assessing student work to ensure a comprehensive understanding of landscape design principles. Holding regular office hours will allow you to provide the necessary support, blending instructional effectiveness with empathy towards student needs and learning challenges.
Key Responsibilities Develop instructional and assessment materials relevant to the seminar
Teach and evaluate students throughout the course
Mark assignments and exams promptly and accurately
Offer constructive feedback to foster student success
Maintain office hours for student engagement and support
Requirements Master’s degree, Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate preferred
Proficient in English communication, both oral and written
Specialized background in landscape design required
Competence in post-secondary teaching evidenced
Understanding and empathy for student needs
Deliver impactful learning experiences at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Architecture.
